Did nobody tell you that several high schools in MoCo are overcrowded and they built two new high schools to address that? Many children are going to have to change schools and some will have to travel further. I agree it is unfortunate, but sometimes, life is not fair. Maybe when you grow up and have a mortgage, you will understand.[/quote]

It’s not entitled.  When you go to fancy meals, travel, upgrade your house, all kinds of nice things, we went without and paid off our mortgage.   See how that works.   We haven’t been on a vacation in years, not even a weekend away.  [/quote]

No, because we are doing the same thing except we own our house so that extra mortgage money can go in there too.  Envious?   It shouldn’t be one or the other.   You need regular savings, investments, retirement and college funds.  And, as soon as kids get jobs all their money goes into a Roth IRA.  We don’t need their money so better off to save it too.
