This is completely incorrect. Have you watched girls games? Id argue techincal skills are at a premium in girls games because they dont have that speed or strength that exists on the boys side. Yes, the best athletes are on the top teams but that is true on the boys side. I find boys soccer more kick and run than girls and I have both a boy and a girl. Sorry I think you are absolutely incorrect in your statement. Now, if you want to argue at the lower level it is easier for a top girl athlete to dominate than a boy fine. The drop off between say the top 10 or 15 teams in a state and the rest is far greater than the boys side but at the top, I find the girls game requires more rather than less technical skill.
Different poster. I’ve seen most of the 08 girls teams in ECNL/GA/ECNL-R/CCL and some of NCSL in VA, and if there is a technical team out there, I’ve yet to see them. I‘ve seen a few players on some teams here and there, but most are not even being put into a position to control and key their team’s offense. I’d like to be wrong about that, but haven’t seen it. A lot of the boys side is not that different, but there are some teams out there that lead with skill over physicality and athleticism.
How have you seen so many teams at different levels?
