Confusing to read from spirit people they don't do well at showcases or nationals. Showcase results are not a reflection of anything, minutes are split, starters don't always play, committed kids sometimes don't travel. Before McLean last year a team from VA never won an ECNL nationals. It is a very high level!!!

It’s crazy what Mikey has been able to do considering where the u15 age group was at u14, and how consistent the u16 & u17s are. It’s also worth noting how the u19 girls finished considering they didn’t have Mikey nor Larry. Instead they were given a coach with no licenses and no experience, yet still found a way to be successful based off their own abilities. Regardless of what everyone thinks of the talent level, it seems there’s some pretty special people playing at that club.[/quote]

The 19 girls were good long before Miley took over --- they had good coaching and good talent.

The u19s finished closer to bottom last year, This year 2nd of 11. The turnaround in the u15 and u19 age groups at BRYC is hard to believe . The year before that the now u17s went from 8th in CCL to 3rd in ECNL. The 16s have always been special. They have very good young coaches. Larry did a fantastic job hiring young staff and giving them the platform to succeed. Do not be surprised if Larry tries to take Mikey to the Washington spirit. Mikey is young and could probably kick start the Washington Spirit academy VA... [/quote]
