Obama negotiated a perfectly good deal that ensured Iran wouldn't have nuclear weapons. With inspections and everything. But Republicans ripped it up and chose to go to war with Iran, a mountainous country bigger than Alaska with 92 million people. A country that could seize control of Hormuz and take out more than 20 percent of the world's energy and fertilizer. You'll have to ask Republicans why they want this war. By any measure, it was completely unnecessary. There was a deal that ensured Iran wouldn't have nuclear weapons. And the Strait of Hormuz was free and open for everyone six weeks ago.
