That’s my point. You want to celebrate the students whej it was students that allowed this to go on for hours because they couldn’t bother notifying people fricials that their classmate got shot. If this snitches get stitches attitude is pervasive at magruder then there will be other incidents . How will you feel after another incident?  That’s why you should care . [/quote]

Whej I went there had even my worst enemy been shot I would have contacted school officials . They just left that kid to die knowing he had been shot . That ignores the reality that it may have been gang related and that "snitching" could have put a target on that kid. "Telling" may have been perceived to have a potentially deadly consequence for that kid. The responsibility for not acknowledging and addressing growing gang activity at Magruder and other MCPS rests with adults. The kids are just trying to get through. [/quote]

I absolutely believe this is the case. They were tweeting to let other gang members know what went down. This was nothing new to them. And they knew to shut up about it otherwise. [/quote]
