Your DD must be very talented first and foremost.  IU is outstanding in music and a difficult admit for that particular school, but academically overall it’s much easier to get into than Michigan.  [/quote]

How can one tell how good they are compared to others in music?  I have no idea how she compares to others (vocal performance).  She did just get accepted to the Boston Conservatory’s summer intensive, but I’m not sure how competitive summer programs are compared to college programs.[/quote]
