Yeah, it’s awful, but unparalleled tragedy?  No.  Frankly, our administration’s handling of it is the bigger tragedy.  They’re responsible for many needless deaths.

This. I will never understand why people are so cavalier about that. And I don't even need childcare. But I do believe that my kids and most others need in-person school. To think that we should shut down schools because of a virus with an overall fatality rate of less than 1% and a median fatality age of over 70 is just mind-boggling. We as a society clearly care neither about kids nor about education.[/quote]
