The friendlies against Richmond ECNL were a joke.  For whatever reason, every game was a matchup of a year-older Richmond team versus a year-younger Spirit team. Nobody is going to share the scores because they don't matter.

We were aware. We thought it was a terrible idea. I personally never posted that because it sounds so stupid. Richmond United vs PDA? Yeah, that makes sense. Versus us? Of course not.  We played them in the summer and had competitive matches fo every team except the EDP group. I'm not sure who thought it up, but I hope the results confirm that it was a terrible idea.  [/quote]

First I've heard of this. If true, it because DA couldn't stomach a head to head beating so they created an illusion by playing the Spirit DA teams up to have an excuse for the poor results against A ECNL club (DA is still in a battle with ECNL)

Excuse: "Its about development. We are testing our kids. Results dont matter"

If anything, Richmond should have played their teams up for a challenge. However, I'm sure DA couldn't stomach that.

From what I was told, it was a REALLY bad idea.
