I'm not saying it doesn't matter, I just don't think a 5-month old liaison is a life-changing matter.  Certainly not equal to a long marriage with children!

At the end of the day they didn't really know each other.  Ask yourself what you would tell your daughter if she announced her plans to wed after five months of dating.
