I had an issue with that. just because Carole's current career isn't as high profile as it used to be doesn't discredit it. Love her or love to hate her she is an Emmy winning journalist and nothing will ever change that. It's like all your children are grown yet someone discredits your parenting. Just because you haven't changed a diaper in 20 years doesn't mean you weren't a good parent and have no purpose. It just means that is no longer your life. Bethenny also conveniently hardly mentions her businessene partners and investors who made the skinny girl brand. She wasn't a one woman show.[/quote]

Ok, take that analogy.  Carole refers to herself IN THE PRESENT DAY as a journalist.  I don't think anyone, including Bethenny, wants to discredit what she accomplished 17 years ago.  [b]But bringing it up regularly and making it seem like a current profession is just...weird.[/b]  And yes, when my kids have been out of my home for 17 years, if I'm still hanging my hat on being a mom and talking about my kids regularly as my main gig in life, I believe I will have made a wrong turn somewhere.[/quote]
