I have a feeling that when Big Siss went to NYC several months ago for meetings with her agent that she was trying to get a new book deal and advance but given the relative quite since then the meetings didn't result in anything.

She is pretty much old news now publishing wise and hasn't had a new book in years apart from the cookbook last year, which didn't sell well at all.

The publishing industry is not in good shape right now and there are newer, younger, and cheaper voices coming up.

Does the world really need another phoenix rising from the ashes post divorce manifesto from a 50 year old has been?

What else does Jen have to say that's new or interesting or marketable?

I have a friend still in the industry who sent me Jen's Bookscan numbers from the last few titles and the trend is not good at all.[/quote]
