FHCP is collecting/publishing minutes played by freshman this year by conference. It’s an interesting data point in the stronger conferences. Many US players who were standouts at their club are getting little playing time in college as freshman. However the international freshman are getting lots of playing time.  There is less discrepancy in the lower ranked conferences. I think we will begin to see more and more international players at the lower ranked schools moving forward.

No one should be surprised as the power schools (and even some of the not) have a significant number of foreign players. USAFH can't get better if they continue to be ok with that, imo. Especially at the GK position where foreign players dominate (yes, there are Americans who are exceptions).[/quote]
