I agree that the specific nature of the complaint filed could have been avoided - but I believe that court intervention is needed to terminate the conservatorship. Additional details about the family's wrong doing could have been omitted. What? Oh, you’re one of them. You think Oher should just smile and thank them for profiting off of lies they made up about him. They’ve centered their lives and businesses around lies about him. What a f’ing entitled viewpoint you have. How humorous that you’re the arbiter of what is appropriate and you aren’t the aggrieved party here. Lemme guess, you’re a fake Christian just like them.
You're not following the thread. I have no desire to support the Tuohys. The issue I am speaking of is whether a monetary settlement with a mediator could have resolved this. And the answer to that is no. All they could get by giving him money is a different complaint - he has to file one to get the conservatorship ended. It's as simple as that.
Your comment re leaving out the details of the family wrong doing caused my reaction. I’m sorry to have misunderstood your position. Making those details public have achieved Oher’s goal of stopping them from profiting off of the lies they’ve made up about him. No one will want to pay them to read or hear more of it.
