Yep, this.  And this wasn't a case where perhaps the student could have succeeded with just a little more support or there needed to be more documentation or interventions.  This was a CLEAR case of the student needing the most restrictive placement possible.  Even before he shot the teacher it was clear.  The parents were delusional, the school admins were negligent and I hope to god there are more charges against the mother and I hope the admins do jail time.  I hope Abby gets millions.  I'm sick to death of kids who are so out of control causing chaos in classrooms and of admins who seem to believe all kids belong in gen ed.[/quote]

Yes, I hope for widespread consequences in this case, too, for the same reasons.
