Sadly, this is true. The private schools use basketball as a way to increase diversity. It’s shocking how many of the privates can be 35% non-caucasian, but most of the privates run over 70% aa for basketball. If your kid is a good basketball player and is Caucasian, do not send them to a private school.  There is a built in bias bc of the coaching staffs and the scholarship players must play. [/quote]

There is no bias when teams have multiple black players who are nationally ranked, there is no reason for a coach to bench his D1 prospect so they can diversify the court. Regardless of skin color if you are a top basketball player you will play, it just happens that there are more black basketball players who fit that criteria than white basketball players[/quote]
