There are studies, and have been for decades, that SAT does not correlate with performance in college. This has been used by many to say 'SAT doesn't matter.' However, the study was showing small differences don't matter, but 1200 vs 1400 or 800 vs 1200 matters quite a bit. I don't know what the cutoffs would be, particularly with the changes. The study I saw was before they recentered, and I think made 1600 available for less than a perfect score, and they changed it from an aptitude test to an achievement test.[/quote]
