In the school context, "you are loved" has to fundamentally be "you are SAFE."

Someone posted on this thread on Friday that her kid was in the bathroom when the shooting happened. A poster posted "snitches get stitches" and "we all know what happened." Those safety facts are reality too. That is why there needs to be adult engagement, SROs, etc. WHY was growing gang activity at Magruder not addressed, nor even openly acknowledged? In this case, there could have been more victims, but, it was targeted. It is also expecting a lot of kids to put a target on themselves when they have just personally witnessed a classmate get shot. Maybe their use of social media was a way to tell in teenage think? I doubt the cop made it up. Dial back the anti-cop paranoid rhetoric, PP.[/quote]
