People discuss the team because they’re the best team in the DMV.  Of course, things could change and people could move, but as of today, they’re an interesting topic of conversation. Haha yeah you’re taking it a bit far.  This is a DISCUSSION BOARD and people discuss topics of interest.  This board is literally about Bethesda soccer - it seems logical that the 06 Bethesda team would come up.  If you don’t want to participate in the particular discussion then go to a different discussion.  Problem solved.[/quote]

I see Kevin is back with his multiple posts on the same topic. The point here is, this board is also used to "vet" the club by prospective players/parents, so I can see why Kevin pushes the 06 story every time he gets a chance on here. What's the deal with the other age groups? It's not about bashing the 06 players, as they are just kids.

The 03, 04, 05, 07s are all falling apart, so my point is, I hope there is some development going on there with that 06 team as it's easy to play 4 games a weekend at that age, but quite a different story to even play 2 games on a weekend where the player then has to mentally withstand that pain at 90 minutes each game and there is no size or speed advantage.[/quote]

I don’t think it’s easy to play four 70 or 80 minute games in two days on full sized fields. Many of those teams had 3 hours of rest between games.  IMHO, the tournament format is much more taxing than showcase format.  Re BSC 06, I doubt KL is hanging out on DCUM blogging with a bunch of people who don’t factor in his or the team’s success.  It actually would be smart of him to do so but I’m sure he’s not.  Re the 06 team, that team isn’t winning just bc they’re bigger and faster - they actually weren’t bigger and faster than VDA. The team is smart, savvy, technical...and fast.  I also don’t think the 04, 05, and 07 teams are falling apart.  None of those teams were ever terrific.  They’ve always had holes that they need to address.  The 04 team will be good.  The 05s are a question but can be good.  The 03 team used to be decent, but actually fell apart.[/quote]
