Yes, you are right.  I am guessing the poster is referencing the DC City championships in cross-country, which the Sidwell boys' team did win, I think.

They did have a nice fall sports season overall, it seemed like.  I honestly don't know what makes (presumably) otherwise sane adults become so crazy about sports at their childrens' high schools.[/quote]

Thanks for confirming my recollection -- and for doing it so graciously.  I agree with you completely.  My kids have gotten a lot out of sports as high school and college athletes, but parents can lose perspective on what's most important.  In the long term, developing resilience, grit and the ability to work with others toward a common goal count more than a win-loss record.     [/quote]
