I understand how tall girls are preferable because it takes less effort to get it over the net and you can control where it goes better but they shouldn’t look at height in 12 year olds. I’m a parent of a short girl and don’t understand your reasoning.  Yes, they may grow but significant growth of that kind is unlikely during one season.   They tryout for clubs every year so of course they evaluate the girls where they are at any given point in time.   [b]There are clubs that value height over anything and my daughter doesn’t try out at them.   [/b]

DP.  We aren’t going to Metro or Paramount tryouts either.  My daughter is good but there will be so many at their tryouts.  Lots will be really good and they won’t be looking at the 5’3 fully grown teen.   [/quote]
