It is primarily the college prep and recruitment piece.  It is missing at bsc.  Clyde has great connections at McLean, as does Harry at MD United..  Bsc doesn't have anyone on the girls side with strong connections to college coaches.  This is why the older teams will lose some players and continue to struggle.  Once committed, the stronger D1 coaches also want to see their commits in a strong training environment which bsc does not have at the oldest teams.  This could change, but the current state of affairs. [/quote]

I don’t think college recruitment was the issue.  Recall that Shannon Cirovski ran the girls side and she had great connections.  And BSC had a ton of commits from the 00 and 01 teams.  I believe that the 01 team had 11 or 12 D1 commits.  The 02 team lost some really good players bc of coaching issues and that team fell apart and became a total disaster.  And the 03 team has struggled also because of coaching - in large part due to overbearing parents who all believed their kids were better than they actually were and coaches caving to parent demands.  S 
Some girls started to get playing time based on how involved the parent was.   Shannon completely failed to take action to fix the coaching issues and couldn’t reign in the parents.  These issues predated KL - he’s trying to change the culture and to re-establish BSC as a club where accountability matters and playing time is determined by work and production - not how long your kid has been with the club or how loud the parent yells..  It’s a shock to the system for some, but IMHO he’s got the girls side heading in the right direction, even if it is a slow change at certain age groups.  Some can’t stomach his mouth, but the 06 girls are a reflection of his style.  They’re fearless, relentless, and mentally tough - all the while doing tik toks.  [/quote]

I agree that DG had a hand in that team’s toughness...at least for the girls he coached.  I’d also add that that 06 team is ridiculously fast, highly skilled, and chalked full of potential D1 talent (obviously if they continue on the current trajectory) but what really sets that team apart from other teams is the level of effort.  Every girl gives 110% every second she’s on the field.  Fun team to watch.[/quote]

The core of that team is bethesda players. There is zero to debate that.  Non Bethesda players have left recently due to lack of play time. 
Rush players thought they were going to rule the roost coming over to Bethesda and that’s not been the case. 12 of those players are Bethesda players and majority of them start.  KL will get the full potential out of those girls but enough with the coyote superiority. Some of those coyotes are on the second team, some at md United, etc.  and next year? They will have to fight for their spot with the influx of players wanting to come to that team [/quote]

Someone doesn’t know 07.  Who talks about a 13 or 14 year old “ruling the roost”?  Players come for ECNL and to play against better competition. I’ve never seen of heard of any KID talk like that. That’s parent-speak. Slowly, KL is weeding out the non-serious and entitled at every level. Bravo!
