They’re more problematic to transport, etc. Get a 12 gauge shotgun, the shortest you can find. Pump action. Holds 7 shells or so. Nothing makes people stop like that racking sound, it’s said. Learn how to load, clean, and maintain and shoot it. Keep it secure but able to get to in a pinch. Be responsible with it. And hope to never need it. For all the BS and AR-15s and stuff, if you want to defend life and limb at close quarters, you want a shotgun. [/quote]
