This is the crux of every issue with Trump and the Rs.  There is no will to work with people.  No will to compromise. Don't ask for input, just shove it at them.  Last time I checked, these counties were part of America. This is no way to run a business, much less a country.

If the feds do this, they need to send money for every kid in K-12 at a minimum (and plenty of it).  Building schools and hiring teachers is expensive.  The local taxpayers should not be paying for federal mishaps.

DP. He dumped a lot of them in Fairfax County with no notice. All of a sudden, we had all these illegal alien children needing ESOL classes and free lunches, along with additional teachers to carry the load. Since there was no warning, systems were caught off-guard. [/quote]

YUp. And it costs $15,000 per ESOL student, without any additional federal support. No wonder MACY's asked me to donate money "for the schoolchildren" since the school system is short. I'm already paying more in property taxes than I am in P&I, and now I'm supposed to give even more money because the illegal immigrants need more money to cover their ESOL classes and free lunch?

Reality check: a lot of school funding comes from property taxes, and those are also paid from rental properties, and that the families of those ESOL kids are renting, and are ineligible for federal rent subsidies.  Those families work for a living and to pay their rent.  So stop pretending it's all a free ride on your back.[/quote]
First, whoever said these ESOL families are eligible for rent subsidies? They are, however, getting free breakfasts and lunches, along with ESOL classes, and causing an overall need for more teachers. The cost PER ESOL KID PER YEAR is $15,000. Are you trying to claim that these impoverished families not even able to afford their kid's lunch is paying $15,000 a year property tax? They are bunched up 10 and 12 people to an apartment that rents for maybe $1000 a month at most, with the "pass-through" property tax being, at most, $2,000 per apartment annually. In the meantime, there are six kids all getting educated for free. So....do the math: Six kids x $15,000 is [b]$90,000 (!!!) a year[/b], and for that, they're [b]pitching in $2,000[/b] in property taxes.

OF COURSE they are getting a free ride on the backs of American taxpayers. This liberal nonsense about how illegal aliens "pay their keep" via sales tax and whatnot is not convincing anyone other than gullible liberals. If illegal aliens are not a financial drain, why the uproar from liberals about Trump's plan to move them to the sanctuary cities they support, where the liberals will protect their interests?[/quote]
