I'm not. There is a reason that african american woman have the highest mortality rate.

from the CDC:

In the United States

Considerable racial disparities in pregnancy-related mortality exist. During 2011-2014, the pregnancy-related mortality ratios were:

12.4 deaths per 100,000 live births for white women.

This is very sad.  
When I said African American women have the highest mortality rate I left off - pregnancy related. I meant to say:
