Trump's latest statements on this are so blatantly cynical - It's like he is saying, I could have been a better liar and I could have done a better cover-up than the Saudis. This is where our President is - the better the lie/coverup the better the political gain. Geez. Trump's actual comments: “They had a very bad original concept, it was carried out poorly, and the cover-up was one of the worst in the history of cover-ups,” Mr. Trump said to reporters in the Oval Office. “Very simple,” he continued, “Bad deal; should never have been thought of. Somebody really messed up. And they had the worst cover-up ever. And where it should have stopped is at the deal standpoint.” “Whoever thought of that idea, I think, is in big trouble, and they should be in big trouble,” Mr. Trump said of the operation inside the Saudi Consulate, during which, Turkish officials say, Mr. Khashoggi was killed and dismembered with a bone saw
I am confused by this statement. It nearly sounds like he is upset by their incompetence and not by the murder itself
Yes, that's exactly what I said at 10/23/2018 16:22 http://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/870/757093.page#13884391
+3 Although the terrorism of today has, rather conveniently for Trump, shoved this news and Trump’s possible involvement in it off the front pages.
Read WSJ interview transcript posted today...unbelievable stuff...Trump wants to believe the lies MSB is posturing because he does not want to cancel the multi-million dollar weapon deal...he even lies about the jobs (inflating it many many folds) that is attached to this deal. Unbelievable. So, he truly is upset about the shoddy cover up.
