But you can stabilize home made whipped cream very easily by adding a small amount of plain gelatin dissolved in water. It lasts for days in the fridge that way without separating. I know some people don't eat gelatin, but if you do, it works well. About a teaspoon for awhile bowl will do it. Also one of the most delicious things is leftover whipped cream with Hershey syrup mixed in. I used to eat that all the time as an after school snack and called it quickie chocolate mousse.
