Just do it - the airlines are not legally permitted to ask you any questions - just check in at the ticket counter and go - it's super easy to fly w an emotional support pet
This is the entire misperception with Emotional Support Animals. No one is permitted to ask you why you have a SERVICE Dog, and they cannot refuse you entrance becaus of a SERVICE Dog. That would be illegal under the Americans with Disabilities Act. This is NOT the case with an ES dog. An airline can refuse to allow your pet in the cabin. There is a huge distinction that most people don't know about.
Additionally, ADA doesn't apply to airlines, they have separate regulations regarding accessibility that dictates what they can or cannot do. The regulations in the Air Carrier Access Act are generally less stringent than ADA so the airlines likely have much greater latitude to restrict even service animals on board, let alone "emotional support" animals.
