Am I the only one who thought James S. looked blank, like he was missing features? Or a life-size Ken doll or something? And then "Bachelor superfan" as his "occupation"? Bizarre. I guess there are a few real jobs: Marine, bank teller, firefighter, sales rep. But some bizarre ones like James S. And then "hipster".
The "occupations" aren't always jobs/careers/ It's really a "storyline" that ABC/production is trying to promote. One year (on a Bachelor season), there was a "dog lover" and "free spirit." The "dog lover" was particularly pissed. I forgot her real job, but it was a real job. This article explains how she became "dog lover." http://www.realitytvworld.com/news/the-bachelor-bachelorette-kelly-travis-my-the-dog-lover-description-was-taken-out-of-context-15803.php
Thanks for posting this. I did completely think the woman was a dope who just walked dogs. So there's that. I guess if the job description cannot be reduced to a couple of words that everyone knows, they avoid it. Dentist or Yoga teacher are easier for people to understand (stupid people, obviously).
