http://www.gq.com/story/melania-trump-gq-interview  that is an article which says more about the author than the subject, just dripping with spite and envy. "Melania Knauss was 28, a tall, shy brunette whose face had yet to acquire the taut, plasticine squint that makes it look as if cameras are forever catching her a second before a sneeze." I did not find any anti-semitism in that article (must have missed it between all the cat clawing) , but there was a lot of catty asides about Melania. Envy, obviously "Is she in her penthouse, a gilded triplex in the Trump Tower? Perhaps somewhere out on the campaign trail? While she’s a crowd-pleaser on the stump, she appears infrequently and only when she deigns to. "... and a whole section about her breasts. And this "journalist" requires Melania to come to her defense?
You are missing the point. No one said the GQ post is flattering or anti-semitic. The author is Jewish!! The issue is that the author was attacked for writing the article, including receiving some very severe anti-Semitic threats and slurs. http://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2016/apr/28/julia-ioffe-journalist-melania-trump-antisemitic-abuse Melania's response was to say that the author provoked them: http://www.slate.com/blogs/the_slatest/2016/05/17/melania_trump_blames_julia_ioffe_for_attacks_against_julia_ioffe.html
The article was provocative and the journalist played the victim card, which was probably her intent all along. And more than "a little bit mean" to quote Melania. It is aburdto expect that Melania or the Trump family to leap to the defense of this "journalist"
The journalist was the victim of anti-Semitic attacks. A person who opposed anti-Semitism would respond to a question about those attacks by saying, "While I think the article deserved criticism, obviously I denounce any attacks on the author's religion. As a family with Jewish members, we of course oppose anti-Semitism and wouldn't want to be associated with such attacks." Melania, on the other hand, not only didn't denounce such attacks, but seemed to condone them.
