Access to a yard is not a substitute for exercise. Make sure you have a fully fenced yard with a fence high enough that your dog can't jump. Also make sure your dog can't dig out from under the fence. You really have to make sure the yard is escape-proof, especially if you get an escape-artist dog.[/quote]
