I find the trans-gendered community to be very hypocritical on this issue. They find it offensive to be in the "other restroom" from their gender just as heterosexuals find it offensive that they are in "their" restroom. Why are the trans-gendered seemingly offended by the genitalia of their same biological sex? Can't they see that others (the large majority) are equally off-put by their position? This whole topic is crazy to me.
How would you feel if you were told that you had to use the opposite sex bathroom, at the same time feeling fear that if you went into your biologically-assigned bathroom that you would get assaulted? That's what many trans* individuals face every time they have to use a public restroom. Actually, you may have used the same restroom as a transwoman before and not known it...because they are women, who are not flaunting their genitalia, whatever it might look like. But if that same woman went into a man's restroom--also not flaunting her genitalia--she may have placed herself in danger. That's a big part of the issue here.
