There were some truly nasty comments on this thread.... and a few kind hearted ones. Lazy, saying fat people are all ugly, insisting we need to spend time and money on our appearance, like the man with moles. This is one of the things wrong with humans. It's one thing to be an ugly person because of your actions, but so what if someone has moles or is short or has hair you don't like. Who the hell do any of you think you are, saying everything can be fixed? Some of us don't have expendable income, work long hours, and spend time doing more meaningful things than putting on makeup for hours. I use my tiny bit of free time to peruse making art. My art is beautiful because my spirit is beautiful. My skin and hair and clothes are clean. I smell good. But I'm not pretty. My life has meaning, tho. Screw your only lazy women bs.
+1 You get it. Your parents did their job well. Not everyone is so fortunate.
You're very kind. Actually, my parents were not so great. I spent my childhood like many of us- beat up, bullied, and abused. I had to figure things out as an adult. Once I told my SO that I was lazy, because I had trouble with many of the social constrict of day to day life, like lots of time with my makeup or fussing over my car. He said I wasn't lazy at all- I often work 50-60 hrs a week- and I spend time on what really matters to me. The idea that the world needs more makeup, designer purses and spotless vehicles, instead of bedraggled artists, or busy parents, or whatever. Cultivate beautiful spirits. Be kind to everyone, because you might really fall in love with someone society deems "ugly". We live in shallow worlds. That's why most of these posters keep saying, oh, buy new clothes, get a makeover, etc. Maybe that might be fun, but it's just external.
