This is the first I've heard of any of that.  To my knowledge Bowie was a happily married man.  Iman is a grown woman and so is Bowie's former wife.  Is it possible that Bowie (unknowingly or unthinkingly in the moment) had sex with an underage groupie when he was a young man?  Yeah, probably.  Do I think that he was a pervert who actually sought out children to have sex with - no.

This. It's a part of celebrity culture, and, in this instance, the groupie culture of the 1970s. It's what "Almost Famous" is about. Not excusing this gross behavior, just asserting that it doesn't mean that David Bowie was a child predator. [/quote]

Actually, I've always dislike him. But I work with pedophiles and think anyone who has sex with a 14 year old girl is repulsive. Plumber, teacher or rock star. I bring it up when ever he is mentioned. It's just - with everyone blowing themselves to be the biggest DB fan this week, it was worth mentioning. No one mentioned him last week, so his child rape habits didn't seem to need mentioning.

Puhleeze, have you seen some of these 14-year old girls dressed up or down depending on how you look at it.  They have more bust and backside than I ever had at that age and they show most of it to anybody who dares to look. No, they do not look 14 but 25. And yes, I was once a 14 year old girl, but I never hung out in the backstage concert rooms. Nor was I a groupie trying to find out how many rockers I could sleep with.  This was the 70's and Bowie would have been what a youngish 20-something. He probably thought (if it happened as Bowie never confirmed and there were no cellphone cameras) she was a consenting 18+ year old.  [/quote]
