They are unclean."  And they drained animals of blood b/c they didn't want to consume the animal's soul which they believed was house in the blood.

Of course it's manmade, but no one is arguing for its divine origin.  If the community of people agrees to follow a set of rules, that's all that matters.  The opinion of nonmembers is irrelevant. [/quote]
