At some point they will realize that, if they wanted to unseat Janie, they needed to find a Dranesville candidate who stood for more than just placing the interests of Langley parents over those of everyone else in the district and county.[/quote]

You clearly don't realize you're responding to multiple posters.  I haven't been whining about anything, nor did I even bring up the election - [b]you[/b] did in your post right above mine.  Obviously, you have no answer to the question, but nice deflecting.  Kurzenhauser's issues including advocating for budget accountability [i]across FCPS [/i]and smaller class sizes - or at least no larger at Langley than at other FCPS schools.  His other issues were those affecting ALL KIDS in FCPS.

Also, he's not "my candidate" - but I did do my research on him and liked what he stood for.  You don't have a clue what you're talking about, but it's clear you like to take any opportunity you can to denigrate the Langley community.  [/quote]

Yawn.  Your guy lost.  Others did their own research and came to the conclusion that Pete Kurzenhauser did not have the best interests of all students in Dranesville or FCPS at heart.  I trust those who, unlike Pete, were elected to the School Board to make sensible decisions regarding the future use of Cooper's excess capacity, and not allow themselves to be swayed by those Langley parents who think their kids should have choices that are not available to students in other pyramids.

Much of this thread has been devoted to this very topic.  If your head wasn't so far up your ass, you presumably wouldn't be asking that question.

Time for the School Board to stop coddling these people.  Cooper should be the ONLY AAP option in the Langley pyramid effective as of Fall 2016.  Grandfather the current 7th graders, if necessary, and be done with it.  If they complain about the building being old, the program being unproven, or the school losing its status as an AAP-free zone, let them know there are plenty of other parents who'd like the opportunities for their kids that they never complain about.
