Last week, I had a driver come into the building, come up to my apartment, and tell me he "couldn't get into the building".  After questioning him, I gave up and went down to the lobby with him to be sure he had no problem with the doors.  He brought his hand truck into the lobby- three boxes- parked, and asked me how I was going to get it upstairs, because he couldn't leave the boxes!  I explained that he needed to deliver to my apartment.  He ultimately did, and then had to make a trip back to his truck because he hadn't brought a few items.  I was his last delivery (almost 2 hours after my window ended), so I'm not sure how he missed them, but whatever.  Obviously he was tired, but so was I...and chronically ill to boot.

I still tipped.  I hope it was his first day, and he either grows into the job, or finds something better suited.

That said, most of the delivery people from Peapod are delightful, and I am very grateful the service exists![/quote]
