Breitbart? Are you kidding me?! I doubt this even even happened.
+ Probably two actors playing the parts like their ridiculous acted and edited Acorn video. Breitbart is for the double-digit IQ crowd only.
I'm guessing you don't work with special needs children or have a child with special needs.
Yes, I do. I am not the PP but I am a full time special needs teacher and most of my autistic students have very high IQs. The Downs Syndrome children haven't been tested with IQ standards for decades. So what are you taking about? A double-digit IQ (85 to 99) is still within the normal range.
Perhaps your statements are true for the DC area; I'm not going to say otherwise. If you read current research and information regarding children with an autism spectrum disorder, "most" do not have "very high IQ's," although a majority certainly score above the range of an intellectual disability and many are above average. It's also important to look closely at the assessments used, etc. Across the USA, many states still administer cognitive assessments; and more than half of the children with a diagnosis of Downs Syndrome obtain scores suggesting an intellectual disability. Of course, no one who works with these children and cares about them would limit their education and options based on one test.
