We left. She called me a selfish bitch and said I was ruining things for everyone else. And to the waffle police: 3 Vans waffles have 240 calories and 45 grams of carbs. I admit the carbs are really high, but it's what was around and 240 calories for breakfast won't kill anyone.
45 grams is too much on its own, in one sitting, actually. And yes, you can die from high carb consumption, if you do that constantly. (diabetes anyone?) That said, I doubt that's the only thing the OP is eating. How about the sugar in the syrup she would probably eat with it? or how about the sugar in coffee? Orange juice? Sorry folks, most Americans are fat simply because they don't know how to regulate sugar consumption.
HOLY COW PEOPLE. There was very little food in the house. OP Said she would prefer eggs but there were none. SHe is breastfeeding and hadn't eaten for 12 hours. Get off your HIGH horses and realize that it is NEVER appropriate to GRAB food out of someones hands and tell them they are too fat to eat it. A gentle suggestion of - hey we have XYZ and that might be better for breakfast- but for F- Sake- the OP is a GROWN woman. The mom here was WAY over the line and some of you people are too much. This isn't about what is proper to eat or not to eat. This was about boundaries.
