This is in FCPS correct? Isn't this something that FCPS can correct? Should it be brought to the school board's attention? I'm fine with the test being a part of the evaluation and schools getting additional help if many students are failing the SOL's. I'm not in favor of the SOL's being a sole or primary judge of the teacher. Do you have a link that describes how a teacher is evaluated? I believe I saw one on DCUM in years past and thought it included a long list of items.[/quote]

No, I am another district.  But really, this is a nationwide problem.  Standardized testing has become ridiculous.  Virginia is particularly irksome because the number of tests are higher than most states.[/quote]

Yes, because FCPS is the ONLY school district in VA.  And the question above and this entire discussion only applies to FCPS because FCPS is the center of the universe.  You are all that matter.
