This is in FCPS correct? Isn't this something that FCPS can correct? Should it be brought to the school board's attention? I'm fine with the test being a part of the evaluation and schools getting additional help if many students are failing the SOL's. I'm not in favor of the SOL's being a sole or primary judge of the teacher. Do you have a link that describes how a teacher is evaluated? I believe I saw one on DCUM in years past and thought it included a long list of items.[/quote]

No, I am another district.  But really, this is a nationwide problem.  Standardized testing has become ridiculous.  Virginia is particularly irksome because the number of tests are higher than most states.[/quote]
