Op here: haha yup! That was my ex that I was with for almost 6 years. He's actually engaged to that girl now and we are still friends. He's also not calling me multiple times a day behind her back anymore so that all worked itself out.[/quote]

Op here: because we broke up in 2012 and over 3 years, figured out how to become friends. He was never physically abusive, he just had times of being very emotionally abusive. However, he ended up going to therapy and working through some of his issues and became a better person because of it. We've been able to casually stay in each other's lives. And yes, I did ask him to run a background check because I knew he would do it for me in a heart beat. [/quote]
