Women's studies - what does one do with a degree in Women's studies? How many people have to die and free up a job for someone else? Political science, I can see.
Sadly, my daughter went PolySci/Women's Studies as well. Hopefully she will go to law school which hopefully would be a bit more marketable.
I double majored in public policy and women's studies and now have a flourishing career in management consulting. I've always been interested in strategy work so this seemed like a natural next step after I decided against law school. Net 200k annually. So don't lose all hope!
The pp needs to state which school you came from. If you came from the Ivies or top schools you can major in basket weaving and still get a management consulting or finance job. The schools that op is looking for don't fit that description. Additionally I suspect your public policy degree was of more value than your women's studies degree.
