Sure, he has a very macho exterior but the episodes with Beth that delved into his backstory showed quite a bit of vulnerability. They're also probably setting up the friendship between Aaron and Daryl so that eventually when Aaron gets killed during one of their recruiting trips, Daryl can go further off the deep end. Right now- Aaron has become my leading candidate to meet Lucille (but I'm just spitballing). I mean, everybody except Rick and Korl are expendible (IMO) so the eventual death of Aaron will have more impact if he's Daryl's BFF. [/quote]
