I realize the parents of small children don't fully understand this whole process, but there are those of us who've been through talking to attorneys and judges about custody issues. A huge part of successful coparenting is accepting that you have very little say in how your ex parents the child. [b]Outside of a history of abuse or real neglect, the judge does not want to hear it. Your opinion of their parenting skills is completely irrelevant.[/b] [/quote]

This is what some posters clearly miss about the role of ex-parents.

I also agree that there is more to this story than OP is letting on. Her reaction is just not that of a rational person.
