I went to Duke, and I know one of that "Group." They've been pilloried by some self-serving jerks trying to further their own careers, all of whom look at the lacrosse team's misbehavior as just boys being boys.

Meanwhile, locally, the police blotter is often full of recent lacrosse players.

No, not every lacrosse player is awful. But take a look at these stats:

Cocaine use among men's lacrosse players: 10.3%. Among basketball players: 1.0%

Pot in basketball: 19.0%. Among lacrosse players: 46.3%
