It's too young for a CLASS trip that is this big of a deal. If you want to take your own kids and go as a family, great. But this is too young to be hauling  a  class of kids halfway around the world, when some of them (many?) most likely aren't even ready to appreciate it. Poll them, and I bet they'd rather go to Disney World.[/quote]

Wow, you must not have any kids close to 4th or 5th grade in age.  Too bad you can't see the video the students made of their trip last year.  That alone would be plenty of proof that you have no idea how much a 5th grader can get out of a trip like this, and then articulately describe as they present on the trip when they get back.  You seriously underestimate what they can absorb and benefit from, as well as how excited they were.[/quote]
