Different PP here. Too much hate oozing out of every one of atheist PP's posts for this to be a happy person. Atheist PP needs to step away from the keyboard. Or, as another PP suggested, stop insulting internet strangers and DO something about child brides and the next Bush (I don't want Jeb either). That would be meaningful![/quote]
I am. I work at a non-profit with a meaningful mission. A non-profit that does work many fundamentals would have problems with.

And quit with the calling me a hateful, unhappy person. It makes zero sense based on what I've posted. Just because I don't believe in god or an afterlife doesn't mean I'm not happy. People can have opinions and a desire to express them without being miserable. And I stand by it, too.  Religion is a crock of shit.  FWIW, I don't think humans are superior beings.  We are flawed.  Without religion, however -  w/o this addiction to some form of control through fear - we will find the ability to self-manage.

simply blunt

Blunt and hateful are not synonymous.  
 
I don't respect religious doctrine.  And while I've made that clear, I've also provided some evidence to back up my claims.  NDEs do not support an afterlife, for example.  But there is brain research around them.  Does the research address every aspect?  of course not - But it often takes years to prove a theory.

But with religious people, the answer is always so easy.  It's either an answer related to God/Jesus, or it's a biblical excerpt.  And if you argue against it, the straw man comes out.
