This is unacceptable, IMO.[/quote] My kid reports that he's been allowed to use his smart phone in class (MS and HS) to look up something specific, like the spelling or definition of a word, or something that is an undisputed fact (e.g.. "What is the capital of Zimbabwe?"), or as a calculator. They aren't using it as the basis for research papers. [/quote]
