If it were up to me, there would be no homework in elementary school. But it isn't up to me. So my children do their homework. What's the alternative? Telling them, "You don't have to do this homework, because I've decided that it's useless and meaningless, but later on there will be homework that you will have to do, even though it might also be useless and meaningless?"[/quote]
