It's hard for Hearst to catch up to JKLM when part of its mission seems to be educating PG County kids.
On what planet are you on. There is no mission to educate students not in the district and this does not occur. You have license plates you want to report, you are welcome to it. Otherwise, crawl under your bridge troll.
Troll must be another word for truth. There's practically a separate drop-off lane at Hearst for MD cars!
People, please pay no mind to this troll. He/she comes on to every single thread that has anything to do with Hearst and spouts their nonsense about all the MD kids at Hearst. Anyone who actually attends to school knows this is not true and this troll likes to just irritate the Hearst people. I used to be bothered but now I just chuckle at all the new angles they come up with. I believe the separate drop-off lane is debuting today. Bravo, crazy obsessed troll!
Everyone knows than non-DC residency fraud is a problem and not just at Hearst. However at schools like Hearst that are mostly OOB it is easier for the fraudsters to slip through because kids come from all over. The sheer volume of MD license plates at drop off and pick up goes beyond the usual excuses of divorced parents or caregivers. Once through Hearst and other feeders these MD scammers burrow into Deal and Wilson, taking places that DC students love to have.
I'm just checking when you are at dropoff. Because I'm there daily and have done the count before and posted here. The and cars I see are parked on the Hearst side because it is a 4-hour parking zone and the teachers don't have to move their cars as often. There is no designated teacher lot. The other cars with Md plates are the many construction workers building our gym and cafeteria and classrooms. I will be more blunt than the previous posters. If you know of fraud, put up or shut up. People can't say they know of a problem and bitch about the problem and then not attempt to do anything about it. So write down plates and do whatever it is that is required to report PG county kids. Then you may complain about it. Until then, it's all baseless claims.
It's not construction workers. It's kids getting out of and into MD-plated cars. Think of someone you know who wasn't successful in the lottery into Hearst next time you see a MD kid getting an education paid for by DC taxpayers.
